"The main female character's employer (she was a nanny and was scheduled to marry her employer) is killed by two bad men who were partners in his jewel thievery and who he double-crossed. The bad men follow the main female character to try to get the jewels, but she has no idea where they are. After the children's uncle nearly raped her, she takes the children to live with the main male character, her employer's cousin. Eventually, they fall in love, kill the two jewel thieves, and get rid of the children's uncle who is so obsessed with her that he stalks her. "
