| Plot Summary of Brandy & Bullets |
"In Cabot Cove, Maine, the old Worrell Mansion is converted into the Worrell Institute for Creativity, an art colony where creative types can work while taking advantage of the spa and various psychological services. They can even undergo hypnotism.
Shortly after the Institute's opening, musician Maureen Beaumont, is found shot in the head. It looks like a suicide, but the locals have their doubts. Then Jessica's friend, Norman Huffaker, disappears from the colony leaving a suicide note behind.
What is going on at the Worrell Institute for Creativity? Are the artists being programmed for suicide? Jessica investigates from within by immersing herself in the colony. In solving the mystery, she comes very close to becoming the next victim.
