| Plot Summary of Chariots of Fire |
"This is the biography of Eric Liddel, olympic gold medalist. Eric desires to be a missionary to China, but he knows he is a good runner and wants to go to the olympics. He struggles with deciding which is more important to him. The book centers around his olympic experiences, and his relations with the people he meets there. A big scandal erupts when Eric refuses to run on Sunday, until another athlete agrees to trade places with him. The book also tells a little about his later missionary life in China. "
