"Margot went to Italy after the '66 floods to help save the priceless libraries that were damaged. While working in a Carmelite Convent a book of renaissance erotic poetry and engravings is discovered. Margot is then moved to start an affair with a daper older Italian man. Margot is soon embroiled in the passion of restoring the book, selling it and then reclaiming her life. Her spiritual longings and earthly desires converge into one.
