Plot Summary of Code 18
"An American criminal sets out to extort £40 million from London's merchant banks. Using electromagnetic weapons, which destroy all circuitry within range, he plans to threaten the banks with electronic wipeout, destroying their data and computer equipment, unless they pay up. A dummy run leads to problems when Claudia Vella, the savvy boss of a computer firm, realises what has happened, and sets in motion a sequence of events that leads to vicious murders, takes the gang leader to the French Riviera, Spain's Costa del Sol, Gibraltar and Moscow, and puts the whole criminal enterprise at risk."
