| Plot Summary of Just Money |
"In the UK in the 1980's financial markets changed dramatically. A lot of unscrupulous people took advantage of the situation in those days to steal, embezzle and enrich themselves at the expense of those who could least afford it. 'Just Money' is the story of the victims of one such group of people and what happened when a champion of their cause arose.
He is a most unlikely champion, indeed: a mild-mannered accountant working in a small firm, whose life consisted of trying to do as little work as possible and trying also to avoid making any commitment to his long-time girlfriend. Then he discovers what has been happening.
He exposes the most incredible financial crimes, the victims being ordinary men and women, yet the government organizations who should be helping him seem only to put further obstructions in his way. He has his successes, though, and his growing confidence leads him, at last, to marry his girlfriend."
