Plot Summary of The Color of Trouble
""I'm not prejudice!" Kari Thomas has been repeating that to herself for the last seven years. She doesn't believe she broke up with Jonathan Steele because of his white skin color. As a black woman, Kari believes being prejudice can't be a part of her personality. She also ignores that she's engaged to the successful, handsome, and black doctor, Steven Anderson, because her parents approve of him. Steven can give her the beautiful brown skin babies, the babies Jonathan wouldn't ever been able to give her. She thinks she leaves Jonathan because he cheats on her with another woman, but that isn't the true reason why she ends the relationship all those years ago.

Jonathan Steele, is a successful lawyer, working at a good law firm. He's finally happy with his life and career. He isn't looking for love nor does he want it. Kari Thomas ruined him of that emotion a long time ago. Jonathan hoped Kari wouldn't believe the lies about the rape, but she does, and he had to spend seven months if jail because of it. Jonathan knew her not believing in him ruined their love. Kari Thomas and Jonathan Steele think their paths will never cross again. But Kari not going through with a business debt brings Jonathan back into her life. Can they both overcome their past and find love again? Or is their love gone forever?
