Plot Summary of Tammy and the Private Eye
"Tammy Jones wants to be a private eye, but she's so shy she has a hard time talking to people, let alone asking super-hunk Detective-boss Pete Hunter for a promotion. So she sits in the typing pool, until Hunter needs a double for movie star Mariatini. Tammy has the build, but can she become an outgoing movie-star type? It's Hunter's job to transform her--but neither can guess how she is transformed or what she will become.

Tammy needs all the strength and confidence that she's building because Mariatini really is in danger. Somehow Tammy must not only face the public as a famous movie star, she's got to defeat a killer. Hunter wants to help, but he finds himself wanting to protect Tammy--even if it means kicking her off of his team.

TAMMY AND THE PRIVATE EYE is a smart contemporary take on the Pygmalion story. Tammy starts wimpy, but grows strong. Hunter is a hard-edged alpha-type guy, but shows his sensitive side as Tammy grows."
