Thirty four year old freelance photographer Sam Stone has expected to one day marry her best friend neighbor Greg Irvington who she has known since she was six years old. They have been lovers in the past, but not lately. Both have had passing other lovers, but nothing serious. Still she figures one day they will tie the knot and when he desperately needs to see her after she spends Thanksgiving with her family, she thinks her time has come. To escape her mom and one more game of Yahtzee, she invents a date with an orphan orthodontist named Alex Graham.
When Greg informs her he loves someone else, she is hurt, but needs a boyfriend fast. Through a friend she hires actor Mark Simpson to portray Alex. However, her mom manages to spin things further out of control when she plays matchmaker and soon a bewildered Sam finds herself engaged to her hired hand.
DRESS YOU UP IN MY LOVE is an amusing screwball romantic comedy that readers who appreciate an out of control chick lit tale will appreciate. The story line focuses on Sam, who dives from one dilemma into an even more complex disaster and spiraling even deeper into trouble. Fans will enjoy this comedy of errors weaved around a web of innocent deceit.
