| Plot Summary of Angelica |
"This is the 4th novel set on the planet Samaria, settled hundreds of years earlier by people who deliberately gave up a technological lifestyle, but left the starship that brought them to the planet circling overhead, functioning as a "god" and believed to be such by the inhabitants. They genetically created a race of "angels" humans with wings who can fly, to supervise things, and to call upon the god for assitance in climate control, drugs for treatment of illness, and other emergencies.
The plot of this novel involves the planetary leader, the archangel, and his need to find and learn to love his mate from the mortals that has been chosen by the "god" for him. She comes from the Edori, a tribe of wandering bedoin-like peoples looked down on by much of society.
At the same time, the planet is suffering an invasion from technologically superior humans who seem to be randomly killing isolated people they can locate.
And the archangel's younger sister is your typical spoiled brat going through the terrible teens, but she has a heart of gold, and just needs space to grow up a little. "
