| Plot Summary of A Secret Affair |

"Meet Isabel Fish-Wooten and "Dr. Blue" Calhoun--each wounded by life's tragedies. Miss Wooten comes to Blue injured, shot in the back, near death. He works to heal her (thinking her at first a boy). In the process, his life begins a journey from a wounded man who'd lost his wife ten years earlier, to someone who can love again. Miss Fish-Wooten, a nomadic voyager trying to escape her own problems, also makes this journey, in the process healing not only herself but also Lucas, Blue's young son, rebellious, alienated, and longing for his father's affection. A wonderful journey into the human heart, done with compassion, and the knowledge that love heals."
