Plot Summary of Cannibal Lake
"

Five Star, Oct 2003, 25.95, 300pp
ISBN: 1594140596

Milwaukee police officer Jason Targo recuperated in a hospital from an on the job bullet wound when he learned his beloved Uncle Roland vanished. Roland, a globetrotting anthropologist, raised Jason, who feels helpless by not going to their Northern Wisconsin cabin. When he heals enough to travel Jason heads to Windigo Pond to complete his recovery and to learn what happened to Roland.

Quickly Jason becomes embroiled with the changing landscape. Indians tell him to leave the land that they insist is theirs. A religious cult offers to buy the land. However, Jason reaches closure when he finds the skull of his uncle. As someone tries to kill him, Jason and Jackpine News Editor Erica Chamberlain try to find out who did it even while they fall in love.

CANNIBAL LAKE is an intriguing investigative tale starring a delightful hero and a horde of secondary characters that run the human genome string. The story line moves forward at a reasonable clip enabling the audience to see what Jason observes as well as have a feel for this remote Midwest area.
