"Sweeney is an artist who begins seeing ghosts! When people in her small town begin to talk, she moves to New York City where the ghosts don't talk and people don't know her.
Sweeney is at the gallery where she displays her work when she feels a strange connection to her friend's estranged husband, Richard. Their attraction grows, and when she begins painting murder scenes in her sleep and going into shock afterward, only Richard's body heat can warm her.
After a failed blackmail attempt, Richard's soon to be ex-wife Candra, is murdered. Sweeney realizes a painting she has been working on was of Candra's death. She tries to finish the painting to reveal the killer, but someone involved in the plot recognizes the scene and decides she needs to be stopped.
