| Plot Summary of Miss Julia Takes Over |
"In this book, the quirky, outspoken, and utterly delightful Julia Springer is the kind of lady you would love for a friend, but not as your enemy. So when the mother of young Lloyd Jr., the child fathered by Miss Julia's late husband, disappears, Julia can't help but involve herself in the situation.
The little boy's mother, Hazel Marie, has a less than squeakly clean background. So she may have just slipped back into the life she came from. Indeed Miss Julia's investigation of Hazel turns up some evidence that Hazel Marie may have been involved in a crime-and that Little Lloyd may now himself be in danger. Miss Julia, who's not content to do the dirty work, sets off on a wild chase across the great state of North Carolina to track Hazel-Marie down and quickly as possible."
