"As a sequel to Segal's 'Love Story', this book follows the life of Oliver Barrett IV after the untimely death of his wife and one true love Jennifer Cavilleri. A lot of people are trying to set him up with any and every girl they know. But he falls in love with CEO of a big chain of stores, Marcie Binnendale. It is his guilt for his ex-wife and her dedication to her career and apperances that present various challenges to them. It takes us through the decisions he makes, as a lawyer, a lover and a son."

"Oliver Barret was madly in love with his wife Jennifer. After her death (in Love Story) he is lonely and lost. He has a lucrative job, a plush apartment.. etc but life is meaningless for him. His friends, father-in-law.. all try to fix him up with eligible girls, but to no avail. Enter Marcie Binnendale, owner of conglomerate chain of stores by the same name. She is intelligent, competitive and lonely, just out of a broken marriage. They meet and she begins to love Oliver, especially as she realizes that he has no attraction for her wealth. Oliver likes her too and they start going around, but he cannnot let go. Unconsciously he keeps comparing her with his dead wife and crticizes everything in Marcie that's not like Jennifer. The relationship falls apart too soon. "
