| Plot Summary of The General's Daughter |
"Paul Brenner is an investigator in the army's Criminal Investigation Division. His assignment is to solve the murder of Captain Ann Campbell, daughter of General Campbell. The victim has been strangled and staked out naked on the firing range. Brenner is joined in this investigation by Cynthia Sunhill a former girlfriend who is now married. The pair soon find that the Captain was extremely promiscuous and went out of her way to embarrass her father. There are about thirty sex partners, fellow officers, who must be considered suspects. They have all been Ann's guests in a room she has had specially designed for the purpose. This is a great page-turner and de Mille does not disappoint his readers."

"The body of a female soldier is found dead, possibly raped, on a U.S. Military Base. Amongst the suspects are the victim's father, a General and Vietnam War hero, as well as a dozen or so military personnel she had been sexually involved with. Assigned to the case are Warrant Officer's Paul Brenner and Cynthia Sunhill, former lovers who tangle with suspects and each other in their search for the truth."
