Plot Summary of Quentins
"In Quentins, Binchy is telling the story of a generation and a city through the history of a restaurant. After all, the restaurant saw the people of a city become more confident in everything from their lifestyles to the food that they chose to eat. And Quentin's has so many stories to tell: tales of love, of betrayal,of times when it looked ready for success, and times when it seemed as though it would close in failure.

Quentins is presided over by the apparently unflappable Patrick and Brenda Brennan, whose efforts have made the restaurant a legend in the life of Dubliners and visitors alike."

"    Quentin's is a novel by author Maeve Binchy detailing the changes of the restaurant within the context of Dublin's changing history. The main character, Ella, is endorsed to create a film about the restaurant called Quentins from her film company, Firefly Films. Through the making of this documentary, the stories of numerous patrons of the restaurant come into play. The tale delineates the various romances, business negotiations, and friendships all forged within the walls of the restaurant.
Binchy also tells the tale of Ella Brady's troubled love life. Her lover, Don Richardson, happened to be a married, scamming business man that duped friends and family of Ella. Ella struggles to pick up the pieces of her life, both in matters of money and love. Binchy tells an extraordinary tale of love, friendship, and dishonesty in her novel Quentins."
