Plot Summary of My Lady Governess
" For a real romantic treat, this is a good, fun read that is more than “food for
thought”! It's a real bill of fare. Young Elinor faces some major problems. She is still
under 25, which means she cannot inherit yet, and there are forces doing their best to get
her married to a real loser, a depraved lord. So, she assumes another identity--that of a
governess, and, as “Miss Palmer,” goes to work for the handsome Lord Trenville, at least
until Elinor can gain her inheritance. Lord Trenville, of course, fully realizing his staion in
life, never gets involved with his employees, although he senses in “Miss Palmer” that she is
everything he's ever wanted in a wife. However, suspicions have a way of raising their ugly
heads and he begins to wonder if she could be guilty of treason, as rumors have it. Should
he try to save her? Of course, as this is a Regency Romance, we know the answer to that
question, as well as the overriding ones, but it's still a nice read!"
