| Plot Summary of Scream in Silence |
"A vacant house burns to the ground. A bomb goes off in a mailbox near an airport. Are the two crimes related? What could the motives behind them possibly be? These questions plague detective Marti MacAlister and her partner Matthew “Vik” Jessenovik. Then a body is found beneath the rubble of the house, raising even more questions. It's up to Marti and Vik to find out the answers.
Investigation turns up a handful of incomprehensible and seemingly unconnected clues, and motive remains obscure. The suspects act like suspects—slightly hostile, avoiding questions. Frustration sets in for the pair of sleuths—especially Vik, who knew the victim from his high school days. The case becomes more urgents as there are more fires, more bombs, and more victims. The killer appears to be out of control!"
