| Plot Summary of The Thought Gang |
"A failing British academic with no sense of responsibility leaves the comfort of port, cheese and casual sex in Cambridge for the port, cheese and casual sex of the South of France. A sort of permanent holiday if you will. There, he meets an incompetent, freshly-released, one-armed, armed robber. The Thought Gang is born as the duo go from Montpellier to Toulon for the ultimate bank robbery. On the run from the suitably incompetent French police they meander their way from bank to bank, raising huge amounts of cash, burning bridges with local criminals and hypothesisiing how Plato, Socrates and Aristotle would have conducted themselves in this situation.
