| Plot Summary of Gentle Rogue |
"Georgina Anderson is on her way home to Connecticut from England and posing as a cabin boy on a ship sailed by James Malory. Her plan is to find one of her five brothers at one of the stops they make during the long trip and get home that way. She doesn't expect to get close and eventually fall in love with James along the way. When they stop in Jamaica, she finds her brother Drew and he sets sail for home before she can tell James goodbye. Weeks later, miserable, Georgina tries to resume her life without James when out of the blue, he comes to America, marries her, and whisks her back to England. However, his love for her is the one thing that he vows never to admit to anyone, even himself. "
