This is one of the earliest, and best, novels of Steve Gordon. Worth, a lawyer, finds himself stranded in an alien fantasy world, called "Koo", with Lore, a seemingly poewrful wizard. There, he discovers that he is one of the most magically powerful people ever existed, and that his destiny is to destroy the evil fell captain Arnagorn, and save all of Lower Threstles from enslavement.
