"I really enjoyed this book and have read it several times. It is a very intelligent and suspensful mystery about a young college student who is found murdered by a police officer that she knew. She is estranged from her family, and stranger still, her so-called best friends are being very uncooperative with the police investigation. Finally, the main detective has to take matters into his own hands when he discovers the real killer and nobody believes him..."

"Red Leaves is the story of four friends who attend Dartmouth College in New Hampshire: Kristina Kim, Albert Maplethorpe, Jim Shaw and Constance Tobias. They are a close-knit group, and share all their secrets with each other, or do they?
Suddenly the body of Kristina is found buried under the snow, having been there for nine days. Who killed her? And why didn't her friends report her missing? Enter Detective Spencer Patrick O'Malley of the Hanover Police. Detective O'Malley had met Kristina briefly before her death, and is intent on finding her killer and bringing him to justice.
