Plot Summary of Monday Begins on Saturday
"MONDAY BEGINS ON SATURDAY is a book published in 1966 in the former U.S.S.R.

Siberia. Privalov, a computer programmer, is hired by the local branch of the Russian Science Institute. He soon understands that the people working with him are more magicians than scientists. Furthermore, characters coming straight from the western mythology or fairy tales are wandering in the building. Trying to apply scientific formulas on irrational events seems to be the main occupation of everybody.

A classic of european science-fiction."

Daniel Staebler, Resident Scholar

"A computer programmer is hired by a research institution, but soon realizes that it is not a typical place. In fact most of the people there are either magicians or characters from various mythologies or fairy tales. The book is divided into three different parts, each focusing on one event/time period. "
