| Plot Summary of Minuk: Ashes in the Pathway |
"Minuk is a Yup'ik Eskimo girl living in Alaska in 1890. Life in her village changes forever when a white missionary family, the Hoffs, move in. The Hoffs view the Yup'ik as savages who need to be saved by Christianity. Minuk knows that's not true. But with more and more white people coming in, will her people's way of life be lost forever?"
