"Lindsay Roberts, a young American woman is sent to England to work for a plastics supply corporation which supplies parts to Ford and Jaguar. She becomes involved with a musician, Colin Evans, who is an entertainer on the Strand in London, England.
Her firm rents her flat from Chief Inspector Ian Marsden of Scotland Yard. Lindsay and Marsden become good friends. Marsden begins to suspect Evans of foul-play and murder. "
