Plot Summary of Coming Up For Air
"'Coming up for air' is a book about George Bowling, a middle-aged insurance salesman, and how he escapes work, family responsibilities and the downcast pre-World War II atmosphere of London to take a vacation in Lower Binfield, the village where he grew up. However, not all goes to plan for this seemingly average individual who simply cannot evade the events of the day. Overall, a comical novel that the author, George Orwell, was highly praised for.   "
