| Plot Summary of Split Second |
"When Albert Stucky escaped from prison, Maggie O'Dell knew her dangerous relationship with him could not end until he was dead. She obsessed over the case, despite the fact that the assistant director had removed her from it. Then women Maggie has come in contact with begin showing up dead, and Maggie is dragged back into the case. Working with a new and unwelcome partner, Maggie chases down clues hoping to find Stucky and the two women that are missing from her area--before it's too late for them and before Stucky has the chance to disappear again."

"FBI agent Maggie O'Dell is facing her nemesis Albert Stucky, a butcher of women. After escaping prison by killing guards in transit, he begins his obsession with Maggie and feeds her fear of him by killing all women with whom she has even general conversations. Toying with a new love in her life, Maggie tries to move on but knows she can never do that until Stucky is dead. That oportunity comes and she knows she only has a split second to make the right decision. "
