|Plot Summary of A Walk to Remember|
|"Jamie Sullivan had always been the outcast; a devout daughter of an aging minister who didn't care what people thought. Landon isn't terribly excited to spend time with her, but he needs her help with his lines for the play. As they spend more and more time together, Landon learns that there is much more to Jamie than he'd ever considered, and he also learns her secret...she's dying. And Landon makes it his goal that Jamie should have everything she wants."

|"Landon, the male character in the story, had already dated a girl or two. The last person in town he ever thought he'd fall for was Jamie Sullivan, the town's Baptist minister's daughter.
She was a quiet girl who always carried her bible around with her all day at school. She looked out for her widowed father, rescued hurt animals, and helped out at the local orphanage. No boy had ever asked her out.
Landon would never had dreamed of it. Then a twist of fate made Jamie his partner for the homecoming dance. Landon
Carter's life from that moment on would never be the same.
Being with Jamie would show him the depths of the human heart and lead him to a decision so stunning it would send him irrevocably on the road to manhood."

|"In 1958 in Beaufort, a small town in North Carolina. Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town's Baptist minister, is a shining paragon. She is selfless, kind, tirelessly giving, and deeply spiritual. Beloved by many, but largely unnoticed by her peers, she is quiet and thoughtful. She's someone that Landon Carter, a popular senior at Beaufort High, never really noticed or understood. Then, in a twist of fate, Landon and Jamie are cast together in the local Christmas pageant. As they spend more time together, Landon begins to see, really "see", Jamie for who she is, and he's forever changed.
In her unwavering faith and uncommon generosity, she challenges his perception of his life in her strong, but gentle way. She teaches him to find forgiveness, to openly give without selfishness, and sets him on the journey to becoming a truly compassionate, good man. Amazingly, he finds love in a place he never expected, in a girl he never noticed. Just as love blossoms, Landon learns a heart-breaking secret about Jamie."

|" This novel starts of with a 57 year old man Landon Carter, turning back the pages of his life to the time when he was 17 years old, in the late 1950s. He speaks of an encounter with this too-good-to-be-true girl, Jamie Sullivan. She is described as a girl who carries the Bible in her bag wherever she goes. Further, she works as a volunteer to help the orphaned kids and rescues forlorn estranged animals from time to time. On the other hand, Landon is a happy-go-lucky son of a Congressman, whose sole activity is hanging out with his gang of cool friends.
The story starts moving ahead when Landon has no suitable option left for the school dance and asks Jamie out. As he comes to know more about Jamie, he begins to develop tender feelings for her. The pace and mood of the novel is suddenly changed when a dark mystery about Jamie is revealed. Landon is going to die because of cancer.

|"The book begins with several teens out just having fun but in a distrucutive way. Mainly boys being normal teenage boys, rebellious. Landon the main character gets introble with the law and finds his world being turned upside down in community service and helping in the school musical, where he meets Jamie the second main character. Jamie is the reverend's daughter and a very quite girl. As the book moves along and the actors in the musical begin learning their lines Landon searches for help with his role and askes Jamie. Jamie agrees on one condition that he does not fall in love with her and being the tough man he is, Landon agrees without even thinking about it. During the play Landon sees Jamie in costume and then kisses her unexpectingly. From then on Landon knew that he had fallen in love with her dispite her wishes and she had fallen for him aswell. Having fallen love with her Landon's attitude had changed dramatically. He started hanging around just Jamie and lost the "friends" he thought he had."
