"Homeport is the story of Miranda Jones, an art scientist. She's a lonely woman who's mother treats her coldly, and expects total perfection in everyone and everything around her. The only person who loves her openly is her alcoholic brother. After being sent home from Italy after her findings on a piece, The Dark Lady, were leaked, and then proven untrue, a thief enters her life, Ryan Boldari. Suddenly the scientist finds herself chasing after the thief that stole from her institute and who also stole the real Dark Lady. While on the chase, Ryan teaches Miranda how to loosen up and let herself become vulnerable . . . which includes to him in the love arena. Back in Maine, the two hunt down what clues they have until Miranda is confronted with her killer on a rainy night on some cliffs overlooking the sea. The killer is an aunt that no one knows about, because she was born of one of Miranda's grandfather's affairs in his later years. The aunt has wanted revenge against Miranda for having everything she has ever wanted. The two fight and go over the cliffs. Ryan comes just in time to pull Miranda to safety. He fetches the real Darkk Lady back from Italy and presents it to Miranda with a marriage proposal. After extracting the promise that he will never be a thief again, she accepts. "
