"Women are found raped and left for dead by a serial killer. The local coroner is trying to help the police in determining the killer's identity. There are several twists and turns in the book. The subplot deals with the relationships of: (1) the coroner, who is divorced from the chief of police (there are underlying emotional and sexual issues between the two of them) and (2) one of the detectives, whose twin sister was the first victim. It is very intense and not recommended for those who scare easily. The killer isn't revealed until the very end and shocked me (did not suspect this person AT ALL). I couldn't put this book down! A fantastic debut by a promising author."
