|Plot Summary of Blindsighted|
When county coroner Dr. Sara Linton finds a local professor in the stall of the diner, brutally raped and bleeding to death from the cross carved into her chest, it pounds memories she'd rather forget back into her mind. Forced to work with her ex-husband, chief of police Jeffrey Tolliver, Sara also forces her personal crisis to the back burner. Then another girl is found, and Sara begins to wonder if her own attack isn't related to these new ones.

Women are found raped and left for dead by a serial killer. The local coroner is trying to help the police in determining the killer's identity. There are several twists and turns in the book. The subplot deals with the relationships of: (1) the coroner, who is divorced from the chief of police (there are underlying emotional and sexual issues between the two of them) and (2) one of the detectives, whose twin sister was the first victim. It is very intense and not recommended for those who scare easily. The killer isn't revealed until the very end and shocked me (did not suspect this person AT ALL). I couldn't put this book down! A fantastic debut by a promising author.
