1. Favorite book and why?
By far, my favorite Victoria Holt book is On the Night of the Seventh Moon. The confusion and the betrayal completely intrigue me. There are so many plot twists in this story that no matter how many times I read the book, I can't put it down.

2. Least favorite book and why?
Probably Legend of the Seventh Virgin or My Enemy the Queen maybe even The Demon Lover.
Legend of the Seventh Virgin was so unlike Victoria Holt's other books. It didn't exactly have the happiest of endings and, for some reason, that bothered me.
My Enemy the Queen had far too much adultery in it. And the heroine tried to justify her wrongdoing. I found it annoying.
The Demon Lover was just a very strange story starting with the rape of the heroine by the hero. That's not exactly my idea of romance.

3. Favorite scene in favorite book and why?
I have two favorite scenes in the book entitled On the Night of the Seventh Moon. I would love to tell you about them, but they are the best and most surprising scenes in the whole book and I think everyone should read the book for themselves. :)

4. Favorite character and why?
My favorite character would probably have to be Clinton Shaw in The Spring of the Tiger. He was completely self-absorbed, arrogant, and greedy, but in the end he proved to the heroine that he really did love her.

5. Which character do you identify most with and why?
I don't really identify with any of them. Basically, most of Victoria Holt's characters are too perfect. Although, I probably identify most with Kerensa Carlee from The Legend of the Seventh Virgin. I lack a lot of the ambition she has, but my view on a lot of things is similar to hers. I didn't say that I have no ambition, I just won't do everything in my power to posses something. Material things are fleeting anyway.

6. If you could see a sequel to one of the author's books, which would it be and what would it be about?
Sequels would be nice, but since Victoria Holt (Eleanor Hibbert) is dead, I don't think it will happen.

7. What do you like about author's writing style?
I love how she could write a romance and completely leave out graphic love scenes. It's so difficult to find a good romance without all the moral degradation that is so common to romance novels today. Victoria Holt knew how to write a riveting story that the reader couldn't put down. And she didn't have to add worthless pornography. Her novels are appropriate for all ages. I also love how she always wrote in first person.

8. What are your favorite themes of this author?
The rich landowner falling for the poor governess. I like that theme in any book.

9. What could be most improved about this authors books?
I would have liked many more books from Victoria Holt. It's sad to think that she will never write again. :(

Something about yourself
I'm in my early 20's and I own an online jewelry store found at http://www.jaisjewelry.com. Other than that, I spend my time taking care of my husband and my home. Victoria Holt is my favorite author and I have every book written under that name. I've been reading her novels since I was 14 years old. I also love the author Carola Salisbury. Her novels are similar to Victoria Holt's.
