Police procedurals and noir are not normally my cup of tea, but Ellroy is so damn good his books blast through that barrier. Having done some cleanup for Harlan Ellison after the typographical debacle of the first two White Wolf editions of his collected works, I hereby offer my services to Ellroy and his publishers to help make sure any future editions of his marvelous writing come out as they should.
