| 1. Favorite book and why? |
Street magic by Tamora Pierce. I like this book because it has vivid descriptions of the main character, his challanges, his old life, and how he overcomes it all. Plus, it has suspense, murder, and a view of everyday life in this fictional time and place.
|
| 2. Least favorite book and why? |
Where the Red Fern Grows. It is so sad that I don't even want to talk about it.
|
| 3. Favorite scene in favorite book and why? |
Where the main character is teaching his new student, a former street rat, her first magic lesson and how to read, and she seems so eager to learn.
|
| 4. Favorite character and why? |
The main character, Briar. He is funny and witty and very adult for a fourteen year-old.
|
| 5. Which character do you identify most with and why? |
I identify with Briar's student, Evvy, because she's young and wants to learn.
|
| 6. If you could see a sequel to one of the author's books, which would it
be and what would it be about? |
Ummm, I heard that Tamora Pierce is coming out with a book where the original four come together after their travels, and I would like to see one where all five of their students meet and form a friendship of their own.
|
| 7. What do you like about author's writing style? |
Tamora Pierce has such a unique writing stlye-it's funny, and exciting, and makes me want to read more. She creates such real worlds that aren't really real at all.
|
| 8. What are your favorite themes of this author? |
Her fantasy and magic themes. I just can't get enough fantasy, and books about regular kids who discover that they have powers are appealing to me.
|
| 9. What could be most improved about this authors books? |
I only want her to write MORE BOOKS!
