| 1. Favorite book and why? |
My favorite book would have to be "We Can Build You" by Philip K. Dick because it has a pleasant plot and it has a tinge of romanticism when the main character cannot get the love of his life at the end.
|
| 2. Least favorite book and why? |
I hated the book "A Scarlet Letter" by Nathanial Hawthorne because my teacher made me do these ludicrous chapter journals and reaction papers which totally ruined my reading experience.
|
| 3. Favorite scene in favorite book and why? |
My favorite scene in a book would have to be in "Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said" by Philip K. Dick when Felix Buckman approaches and hugs he black man in the gas station. I don't think I've ever been as emotionally affeceted like that ever when reading.
|
| 4. Favorite character and why? |
My favorite character would have to be Soltan Gris from the book series "Mission Earth" by L. Ron Hubbard. He is a greedy, lying, money grubbing, and eventually conforming guy. Just like me!
|
| 5. Which character do you identify most with and why? |
Like I said before, I like and identify with Soltan Gris the most because he has most of the same qualities as myself.
|
| 6. If you could see a sequel to one of the author's books, which would it
be and what would it be about? |
I would want a sequel to "The World Jones Made" by Philip K. Dick where Cussick goes back to Earth with his Venusian-raised son and his son is older and has to assimilate to the new culture.
|
| 7. What do you like about author's writing style? |
I enjoy Philip K. Dick's unpredictable yet thoroughly affecting style of writing. I also enjoy his idiosyncratic way of describing a person's emotions.
|
| 8. What are your favorite themes of this author? |
I enjoy the themes that have to deal with a stuggling society under an unkempt yet controlling government.
|
| 9. What could be most improved about this authors books? |
I would have asked Philip K. Dick to introduce his antagonists earlier in some of his books to give me a better understanding of the current condition in the book.
