The book before Hoax was Resolved. In Resolved, Marlene takes on terroists. I really like the Butch Karp series. I feel like I have watched these characters grow up. Mr. Tanenbaum has done a wonderful job developing each one, with both their virtues and flaws. I only wish that FX or some other network would do a series based on these books. I think it would be a hit, along the lines of the "Shield" or "Law and Order". Wake up Hollywood.

I have read most of the Butch Karp novels and am currently reading "Hoax," but feel I have missed the last Butch Karp novel immediately preceding this, but cannot identify it's name. Please help. Thank you

Picked up on other sites the suggestion that all of Tanenbaum's novels were by the same ghostwriter, except Hoax, which they felt was greatly inferior. I haven't Read Hoax yet, though I loved all of the others. Any thoughts?

Gianacarlo (sp) loses his sight in Absolute Rage.
Marlene reacts as you would expect, and Butch reacts to Marlene as we have come to know.

I thought we had read all of your books, but we cannot remember one of the twins losing his sight. Would you please tell us which book this is?
Thank you.

Forgot to mention; favorite book: "No Lesser Plea"--Favorite scenes in the series:
~Butch's visits to Marlene in the hospital after the letter-bomb
~Butch and Marlene's 'joy-ride' :)
~Birth of Lucy
~Butch putting out the fuse with his tongue
~Marlene on roller skates
BTW, does anyone know why some of the posts (including mine!) have been removed from the RKT comments page on S&S? They were fine, and all had helpful votes--
I smell a troll--perhaps, a hacker...

Page 401 of the paperback of Hoax states that a group of "cows" is called a murder....spell checking is great, but it should read "CROWS"!

On page 106 (Pocket Star Books edition) of Hoax. The Taos Pueblo people speak Tiwa, but they aren't the only pueblo people that do, there are at least 3 other pueblos that speak the same launguage. However, Towa is only spoken by the Jemez Pueblo people, a pueblo about 100 miles south of Taos Pueblo. Do like the series.

Time-line not withstanding, there are quite a few boo-boos in "Hoax"--still, I love the series, and eagerly await the release of "Fury" in September.
And while I realize full well other sites aren't allowed a mention, I'll just say real quick: I own a nifty little Ciampi-Karp discussion list, so check out Yahoogroups, and I hope you find us :)
