What's the story on Rush 929? I ordered it in 2000 when it was originally announced but the book store said it had been postponed. I've ordered it several other times when a book seller listed it but my order was always eventually cancelled. Did any copies ever make it into circulation?

I would like to see the order in which all of Mr. Browne's books were written/published.

Thanks for the info about "Slide" That is one of your books that I have not read but intend to do so. Please let us know the status of "Rush 929" I have carried that on my "List of books to acquire" for a couple of years now. Is it finished or nearly finished? Any anticipated publication date? Thanks again for keeping in touch with the fans...

Steve- Indeed the novel "Slide" that you have inquired about was written and published by me in the 70's. It is currently being strongly considered as a mini series by NBC. No doubt inspired by the recent similar muddy events here in California. GAB

Yes, that is his and read everything he has ever written. Do yourself a favor and read them all. You'll be glad you found him! Marcy

I am sending out a question. In the late 70's I read a novel, I believe was called Slide. It was about a mud slide on the West Coast, and the main characters ended up inside a grocery store fighting for survival. I was a teenager when I read this, and loved the story, and now I have been searching the Internet to see if I might be able to find out who wrote it. I have found "Slide" by Gerald A. Browne that was published in 1976 on several sites, but none of them give a description of the story. If this sounds familiar and it is the same "Slide" that Mr. Browne wrote, could you please let me know. I'd sure appreciate any help and feedback. Thank you very much.
