Good Morning-My son wrote a beatiful review for his 7th grade LA class on your book, The Cage. His teacher was quite impressed and he received a 50/50. He was equally impressed by your compassion and ways that you succeeded in overcoming the oppression of the Nazis. Is there somewhere that he can forward a copy of his paper. Dear Riva,
I am reading your book, The Cage, now and I can't put it down. Even though I wish I could because tears start filling my eyes. I'm 19 which is about the age you were at the camps.
I wonder if I could have been as strong as you were.
I keep wishing to meet you and give you a hug.

WHEN When we were finaly liberated from the Nazi concentration camps we were in shock.
I still feel the horror and pain when our Russian liberators told us that they found only murdered people and ashes.
I do mot know what happen to Katia or the Nazi gaurd. Best wishes,Riva

Dear Ruth,
I loved your book, I came across it in a library and read the first chapter, I got so into it that i finished it the next day. I just have some questions, What were your first emotions when the Russians liberated the camp? Also what ever happened to the Nazi who took you to the hospital and the doctor and where did Katia end up?

My students are just finishing your book The Cage, and have been mesmerized by your story. Although we have not faced the experiences that you have, my students and I felt we experienced your conflicts and problems through your eyes. Tears were continuously flowing down my cheeks as I read your memoir. As a mother of two precious young children, I imagined having to look into their hungry eyes and not be able to do anything for them. We have thoroughly enjoyed this journey with you. Thank you for keeping your story alive.
If possible, I would love to have my students write to you. What would be the best way for them to contact you?
