Wonderful spirit in the last couple of posts. Some of the previous posts were rather mean spirited. If Mr. Palmer ever finishes the series I'll be very pleased, but anyone who's life is ruined because an author doesn't write a book never had much of a life to begin with.

Hear, hear Yngvi (the louse)! I too love this board, this mean community, this grouping of the perpetually disappointed. Let us not change what has worked so well to cement the unity we find here. I am more understood here than probably anywhere else. You all know the unfillable gap in my heart. Thanks for listening.

Perhaps we should change the subject of the board to a support group setting. It looks as though Palmer fans really need to feel supported in our frustration and grief.
I for one would be happy to try to get together a science fiction anti-author con. The First Annual SFAAC will be held in Eugene, OR this year (charge it to your company Employee Assistance Program or IT dept.). We could probably get Niven and Pournelle if we gave them free beer and phone cards. No trekkies unless they come in full Uhura regalia regardless of gender.
There are lots of great reads out there and certainly as many good reasons that books aren't published as expected. Personally, I like this board just for the thrill I get when I get a ding about a new post. Hope springs eternal, and one day there will be that long awaited post triumphantly announcing "Armageddon's Armpit" or whatever it is, I forget.

22 years is now long enough. Half my life wasted waiting for book 2 in To Halt Armageddon. May he burn in hell.

Well it has been several years since I started looking for Mr. Palmer to answer the question "Will you write again?" I take his silence as a "NO!" so I am opting out of this page and giving up on the writer. No use spending time on someone who will not even acknowledge the existence of his fans.

Its good to know that I am not the only one who is awaiting the sequel to Threshold. David it really has been too long. It really does pain me that I may never find out what happens and if we lose Armageddon.
Hoping to see a new book in my lifetime.

Well, I'm still waiting for that new book. David R Palmer, if your out there, please write it, before I'm too old to read it!

Perhaps prayer? Short of that, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Everybody likes Emergence (so do I) but I would like to know when the "To Halt Armegeddon" series will continue. To be honest, Threshold is one of my favorite books (I love the concept) and would love to see it continued. How about it?

Does anyone know if there is any chance that there will be a sequel to Emergence? Easily my favorite book - even though I'm not a science fiction fan. Would love to see a sequel though!
