Geoff -- What do you mean by 'bad endings'? Do you mean you personally think the endings are bad, or that there is always tragedy in the endings?

Someone asked whether any of Grisham's books had bad endings. Personally, I think almost all of his endings are bad. I've read all of his books and I am a huge fan. The Rainmaker was my favorite, but it had a terrible ending.

You asked about the book and I can tell you that I enjoyed the book. It was spell bounding and exciting. A great ending, but then again I'm a big fan of his and have read all of his books. Enjoy your reading.

I just finished "The Innocent Man", as usual it was a great book. I think I'm going to reread the first part of it for stuff I missed. Jeff

I would also like to know what did happen at the ending of the Chamber, were they actually murdered? What was John Grisham's intent with that ending? Somebody please tell me, I just finished the book, and I'm dying x-x.

Does anyone understand the ending of The Chamber? Are Lee and Adam murdered by the person with the backhoe? Was Lee followed by Rollie Wedge to the cemetary and arranged for this killing?

I am a collector of Novels including those of John Grisham. To date, I have read all his books except The Innocent Man which I have just purchased in London. I am a Caribbean National and I was impressed that he made mention of the Caribbean in some of his novels, for example The Firm. Grisham is an extraordinary and superb author...the best by far. I have never been disappointed after reading any of his Novels.
