Rachel, you can buy the 5th book from Amazon. I don't think the 10th book is near completion.

Does anyone know if LJ Smith is even alive?! I'm starting to give up hope in Night World.

Does anyone know when her old books will be re-release? and when is Strange Fate coming out?

I was surprised to find your message board. I gave up on Strange Fate so long ago. But to read that it was actually set to be published again! I wish. I would sign the petition if it ever happened. Do you guys have some sort of letter from L.J. Smith? It'd be interesting to hear what she really has to say. The thing with Strange Fate coming out (if it ever did) is that there's no way it'd get us through the millennium war and reach a conclusion. If she could keep writing the Night World series I'd be all about it. (I'd actually be all about anything new she published.) But still, then we'd be excited for Night World #11 and #12 and so on... sigh

Well, I'll have enough books to read now till LJ Smith gets writing. Thanks Ya Girl. I feel that we are all being supportive of LJ Smith but are frustrated. There is no author bashing here but there is also no peer bashing or disrespect either.

if your all dying of boredom waiting for the 10th and final nightworld book then try stephen cole's the Wereling trilogy!! i read them and thought they were great, possibly even better than some of the nightworld books!

Shea, there is a series of books by a writer called Chris Wooding, the series is called Broken Sky and is awesome, I think there are 9 books in the series, I read it a few years ago ( while waiting for strange fate ) and loved it, there are even cool illustrations of each character at the begining of each book, try it i'm sure you will love it.

I have started reading Sherrilyn Kenyon, it's a lot more explicit than LJ Smith, but the stories are very good, I have also started reading Christine Feelan too, another good author along the same lines. So if you enjoyed the nightworld books you should enjoy these (although bear in mind there is adult content!) I have given up on Waterstones, they don't seem to have a clue!

Gina, try to be polite. I do not think anyone is trying to hurt LJ Smith here. In fact she most likely be happy to see that people still care about her writing. People are upset and I think that should be allowed but I do not see one post that is hurtful to LJ Smith because i all i see is disapointment.
