I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I so miss her books and looked forward to each new one. I even received a wonderful note from her in 1988 when I wrote her about my wonderful siamese cat I owned. Her note was personable and sweet. She will be missed as well as Qwill and kitties.

Jean that book was cancelled by the publisher.
Lacey, I think it's either The Cat Who Played Brahams or the Cat Who Moved a Mountain. I believe it was the Played Brahams, now that I think about it the Moved a Mountain was right after Qwill found about the inheretance and went to that mountain house to kind of decide what he wanted to do.
I too was sorry to hear of Mrs. Braun's death, I'm about done with all the books and it's kind of sad that there will be no more.

I have read every Cat Who books and have loved them all. I was very sorry to hear of her passing. I know that she had started writing book 30 'The Cat Who Smelled Smoke' and I was really looking forward to reading that also. Does anyone know if it was ever finished and published and if so where can it be purchased?

Isn't there a book that tells when Qwill first got the cats and when he found out he had received the inheritance? I'm sure I read it but can't remember the name of it.

Please help. Which Cat Who book has the story of Qwill's apple barn remodel? In one book he is living in the carriage house and then he is in the barn. What did I miss?

I was very sorry to hear that Mrs Braun had passed away. I read the internet everyday, and I did not see any mention of her passing. Just happened to come to this site and saw it. Did I miss something, or did the news organizations just overlook the passing? I can't believe that as popular as her books were, that they wouldn't mention passing. I do hope they will let a writer who is familiar with her books tie up loose ends.

I've always pictured Brian Dennehy ever since I began reading Cat Who's. Tom Selleck? Never!!
How about Kathy Bates for Polly?
Agnes Moorhead would have been perfect for Mildred Hanstable.

Sam Elliott, Brian Dennehy would work. it's a stretch & would take some aging and a mustache of course but I'd like Timothy Hutton. I've never been big Tom Selleck fan, but I guess he would do. Trying to think who else, all the dinosaurs are passing into history, good ones leaving us without too many to take up the slack. As a director, it's always been a challenge to take someone and let them play against type. I just googled for list of male actors over 45. I don't believe the mess I got. a big sad sigh from central Florida.

I was so bummed when I read that Lilian Jackson Braun passed away. I went online to see if her last book "The Cat who smelled smoke" was ever released when I read she has passed away. I have all her books in hard back. Started rereading them again. Have been enjoying them just as much. Gonna miss Mr Q, Koko and YumYum. R.I.P. Lilian. Her books have brought so much enjoyment to me.
