I absolutly loved this book. it was so amazing to me how Mrs. McGraw could have written a book with so much historical value and still have such an amazing story! i really recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and suspence.

Hi everyone, i realy need halp with my Mara, daughter of the nile worksheet that i have to complete for homework. Here are the questions that i need help with: 1. Explain the phrase, "It was destiny that passed but Sheftu could not know that." 2. Explain Hatshepsut's remark, "Is she not all we expected and more?" 3. When Sheftu says, "You die for Egypt, what does he mean?" 4. When Sheftu realizes that Mara may be a spy, he tries to trap her. Explain the flaw in his scheme. 5. Why does Sheftu sleep with and oil lamp burning at night? 6. Explain "kheft" and "Kha" 7. Write a summery of the plot (very important one) Thanks a lot guys!! the reason i'm asking you these questions is because i don't really understand the book so i need help answering some of the questions on my Mara worksheet. Thanks once again!!

I've now read "Mara- daughter of the Nile" for the second time (I've read it once when I was much younger) and I was so amazed because it's a) very exciting and b) very romantic. I couldn't stop reading 'til about half past eleven though I had school next day... Hope you enjoyed it, too...
