Are these message boards moderated at all? I would like to see some of these dumb comments deleted.
I have read books by David and Richard and found them to both be good. Very helpful to kids who are or have been abused.

Richard I think we should tell the world the truth now. Im starting to feel realllllllly guilty about all the lies we have been telling about our childhood. I miss our mimmy she was so wonderful and lovely and beautiful and cuddly and bubbly and wubbly she was my woobie in the night of sex.

Richard, you really shouldn't think we are so dumb. You post comments using women's names, only so that you can continue bashing poor David; but you always make the same spelling errors to the same words. You are such an opportunistic fraud! And someday very soon it will all come out. PS: Still waiting for that next book of yours to come out. HA!

im my opinion i think that david and ricahrd may be telling the truth i mean nobody can say anything because they are not in their shoes to have known what went on in their house. yes they do say in the book that richard went to the hospital they should have done something as soon as they seen what condition richard was in but the police never did because richard never admitted to it. like i said no one can really say they didnt because they were not there to see it happen.

Unbelievabley, there were no childabuse prevention laws until 1979. The abuse that both Dave and Richard experienced were before the abuse laws were enacted. At the time of their childhood, child abuse was just coming to the surface. Both David and Richard suffered the most severe cases of abuse in history (for suvivors. Please understand, they are both healing - each in their own way. I personally have had many interactions wth Richard and he is so generous with his time and his dedication to educating communities about child abuse and its effects on children.

i really feel for the boys going through what they went through can be hard i still dont understant two things
1. when dave first came to the nurse about why didnt she do anything then?
2. why didnt they take all the kids from daves and richards mother instead of leaving them in her care?

Personally, these two brothers have every right to put their voice in writing whilst at the same time, healing their souls and very hurt hearts for the benefit of other abused children. Why does everything have to conclude that 'Money' is the motive when it comes to just hearing someone cry out for the love of God.
PS: As for that disgruntled employee earlier, you need to get your butt kicked for even saying such nonsense about David you pitiful excuse for a human being.

I honsetly don't think any of the brothers are lieing...David have his story and Richards has his...so what the big deal here..how would David know anything that happened when he was gone? and how would Richard Know what happened to David when he was gone?

This is just my opinion and if you disagree don't bash me or anything. I really don't think that Dave or Richard are liars. I have read all their books and even "if" (note the emphasis on 'if') their stories were not accurate, I'm pretty sure that living with a horror mother like theirs would be enough abuse for me already.
