It has been MANY years since I have read Mary Stewart. I am trying to remember the title of a particular one. The heroine is "mistaken" for someone else and convinced to impersonate herself for financial gain. The climax takes place after she is discovered riding a horse that only the real heroine could ride. Can anyone help me out here?

I am doing a project on this book for school and we are required to determine the symbolism that the book that we read displays. I have looked everywhere and could not find any imformation on this. Is there any symbolism displayed in this book?

ive finished the merlin trilogyand moved on to more books. first off i just want to say they were some of the best books i have ever read rivaled only by a few in my younger childhood. 2nd is that none of the books i moved on to fullfilled my reading expectations. i just wanted to move back to a Mary Stewart book. any suggestions here?

This past week, I've been having a Mary Stewart love-fest having just re-discovered a box of her novels which I had read in my teens and twenties many years ago ( I won't mention how many). I have re-read several of them already and am hell-bent to re-read the rest of them. Nine Coaches Waiting and This Rough Magic are still my favorites. I can credit Mary Stewart's wonderful and concise descriptions of foreign lands for my great love of travel which I now bankroll by being a travel agent. I haven't made it to Greece yet but I will someday.
