I found/find A Breath of Snow and Ashes to be very humorous. (Though I have cried a couple times throughout.) A very good book to add to a wonderful series.
I love the series. And, I have attended one book signing/book talk with Diana Gabaldon present. KayE, I also found that Diana Gabaldon and I had a similar sense of humor. Though I do not know her intimately, I believed her to be a likeable person.
Ms. Gabaldon said in her talk that there would, at the very least, be one more Claire and Jamie book to get us through the American Revolution. She is anticipating two, or more, though... as she looks back on Culloden taking her so many books.

Someone asked if there were books similar to Gabaldon's series. I have read all of Rosamunde Pilcher's books. They are not a series but take place in England and are wonderful and worth reading. Just started the latest Gabaldon book. Will there be more?

I am currently reading Breath of Snow and just got done with the Resurrection chapter. This scene will most likely be my favorite of her whole series! I love the story and I have all the books in hardcover and will treasure them. But I must ask, am I the only one who loves the story but doesn't think too much of the author?

Hi Kristy, you might want to try Beatrice Small's "The O'Mally Saga" The first book in the series is called Skye O'Malley. These take place in the late 1500's, early 1600's. No time travel but lots of romance (some extremely detailed). There are alot of characters. Just a suggestion, I enjoyed them.

I just discovered those books and I falled in love with the serie. So I wish that i will, someday, see not a movie but a tele-serie of this so romantic story. Because each details and moments are so important.

I've recently discovered (and fallen in love with) Diana Gabaldon's series. Could anyone recommend another author in a similar vein? One of the things I love about the cross stitch series is that it is a series, and I don't have to leave the characters after one book. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Have just finished reading A breath of snow and ashes. Loved visiting with old friends. Is it the last in the series or is there going to be another one? The thought of not knowing the rest of Jamie and Claire's adventures is devastating!!!!
