I just finished reading this excellent book. Here are some examples of loss of innocence in it, as requested by Jessica: 1Rowena- This character is immersed in a state of perennial childishness. Her death awakens Robert to the harsh realities of life. (Continues)

I've been reading Timothy Findley's Short stories and I read his short story title "Dreams" and I have a hard time interpreting the whole message of the story, especially at the end. It really confused with me. Does anyone have a clue.

Robert Ross is a canadian. If you are unable to pick that up from the novel, then I do not think that you should be posting summaries of The Wars on the internet. It would be appreciative if you would alter/fix your previous posting to include Robert Ross as a canadian. It is appaling that you would make such a supposition as to the nationality of Robert Ross. Timothy Findley was canadian, and I don't think he would of enjoyed your interpretation of his novel.
