I hear it's going to be about all those Mexican immigrants brought in to replace the massacred blacks rising up to try to conquer the Republic of Texas and reattach it to Mexico. The Japanese supply the Mexicans with modern weapons because the stronger Mexico is the less effort the US can spare for the Pacific.
A lot of ex-Confederates cross the Sabine to help Texas, which leads to increased US-Mexican tensions because the US wants as many ex-rebels as possible gone but Mexico doens't want to have to fight them just yet. Plus you've got the Habsburg family connection angle. And naturally the Mormons decide to ally with Mexico too. I think it's just going to be a one-shot coda like Homeward Bound rather than a full series, but that could change.

Okay so--Which of you is the real Nut-Ball, and why are you all saying the same thing? Never mind, have any of you heard anything about the next TL-191 book?

So as spring turns to summer I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the Southern Victory series. I haven't been able to find its title online, but I've got my bookstore standing by. This year's should be particularly good as the theme rolls over from one centered on conventional warfare to one on counter insurgency. Tinely, no? I look forward to seeing a new generation take over leadership in the series; Dewey in the US as the first President born in the 20th century, and who will take over the late, unlamented Featherstone? Serious discussions only, please!

So, Nutball thinks he's Prince's old backup band? I suppose that's no more delusional than the rest of it.

Nut-Ball! Are you still here? Get a life, man. It sure is funny to think of what's become of this place over the years. These days it may well be the worst message board on the Internet.
