Hi,
My aunt gave me the whole set of Cat Who books, about 60 of them. Do you know anywhere I could sell them or give them away?

Always thought that Smelled Smoke would be about Quill having a nightmare about everything that happend in 60 whiskers. Then the barn would really be on fire, but Koko would wake Quill in time to save everything. I so love this series of books. I very much miss Ms. Lilian.

Nancy and Rose, that's why I proposed a plot for Smelled Smoke in which Polly was kidnapped and being held in Europe against her will. There is no way she'd throw away her whole life via letter--not only Qwill, but also Brutus and Catta.

Nancy,
I so agree with you. What a way to end the series! I'm sure if LJB was in good health this travesty never would have happened.
I wonder how did her publisher still have it printed. It was an insult to her fans.'

I was sorry to hear of her passing, but she must have been ill for quite a while. Her last book, The cat who had 60 Whiskers was not very good at all. It's pretty obvious someone else finished it from her outline or notes. As as long time fan of the entire series, there is no way that Polly would have left for Paris without seeing Qwill in person, and no way she would have decided to stay. Even on the off chance she would stay a while, she would call him. They spoke every night. They were very close. You don't say goodbye via a third person. That is probably why the last book was cancelled. ^0 Whiskers got terrible reviews.

I wish the "husband who" would post a little note on this forum. We fans would love to know more about her life.

I am so sad to learn of Mrs. Braun's passing. :( I can't believe I never heard about it. I'm trying to collect the entire series and after buying two more over the weekend I finally decided to see if anything had happened to her since novel number 30 was never released. I am also sad to learn that the publisher canceled The Cat Who Smelled Smoke, I was really looking forward to one more story to bring the series to a proper and final conclusion. Hopefully it was far enough along that a ghost writer can finish it for her. I'll always love her books and will continue buying them until I have them all. May she rest in peace. ♥
