Dragon's Bait was absolutely lovely, but do you actually agreethat it is for ages 9-12? I personally feel that this book has such a.. high levelled sort of bit to it that it requires for 13 to older in the very least.
I loved the character development so much, and the fact that it was a bit of a brainer with so many plots going on at once, and the slight philosphy-ish sort of thing with the selling of the souls to the witch is a great added bonus. All I can say is that this book isn't for idiots. It's for big thinkers.
Also, the ending sort of ends in the manner of hinting for a sequel, maybe? .. while I do hope there would be one, I feel that the way it is now without any sequel is really awesome as well. It seems as if it was left there on purpose, to leave readers thinking.. I love that.
I look forward to reading your other novels and finding them just as good.

HAs anyone ever read Companions of the Night? That was the best book out of all of them, I think!

I couldn't compliment Dragon's Bait enough if I tryed and I hope Vivian makes a sequal soon! All who've read and liked this should also read Vivian Vande Velde's "Heir Apparent" Another great book by the same awsome author.
